TRADITIONAL SUMMER PRACTICES (in-person) are set to begin July 8th!!! The cheer program will be following state & county health recommendations along with IHSA guidelines to move into the next stage training. No tryouts will be held for entrance into the program as we are not making any cuts for our sideline season. We will evaluate athletes throughout our remaining summer training for sideline team level assignments.

OEHS Summer Camps (Highly recommended) -
We are awaiting instructions from district as to how these programs will proceed. However, we will post a schedule of virtual and in-person training times within these dates.
EAST Cheer coaches continue to recommend that all athletes joining our program participate in some sort of preparation whether it is tumbling lessons/classes, stunting clinics, private lessons, etc. As our situation is in flux due to the COVID-19 pandemic, utilize online resources as much as possible to work those skills you can perfect at home! Sideline Season - Team assignments:
Due to the missed time for COVID restrictions OE Cheer will not make any cuts for sideline season. Athletes will be evaluated throughout July practices and camps to determine best fit for team level in the fall based on all cheer skills as outlined in our evaluation rubric (based on IHSA cheer scoring rubric). All athletes need to be registered on 8to18 for cheer (at OEHS) and complete the online tryout application in order to be considered for next year's program
